Vermont Rail System
The Vermont Rail System operates over 350 miles of track with its family of over 125 dedicated railroaders. The railroad hauls over 25,000 cars each year, with nearly 90% of traffic serving Vermont businesses.

OMYA
Omya is a leading global producer of calcium cacium carbonate and a worldwide distributor of specialty chemicals.In Vermont, Omya quarries marble, which then is ground, milled, and purified to produce a finely ground calcium carbonate, shipped by railcar.

Association of American Railroads
AAR plays an integral role in shaping the rail industry’s success. AAR provides the freight rail industry with a strong, united voice, and also facilitates the operations, safety, security and standards of America’s freight rail network.

Phoenix Feeds
Established in 2004, Phoenix Feeds & Nutrition, Inc. provides feed to the New England-New York dairy industry, serving customers, independent nutritionists, vendors, employees, and the community, shipped by railcar.

Farmrail
Farmrail System, Inc. is an employee-owned holding company for two Class III common-carrier railroads comprising “Western Oklahoma’s Regional Railroad.” The parent company also has a joint-venture interest in New York’s Finger Lakes Railway Corp. 

Green Mountain Railroad
The Green Mountain Railroad offers seasonal Dinner trains departing from Burlington, VT from May through September and Chester, VT in September and October. They also offer a number of special event train rides, scenic fall foliage excursions, cocktails on the rails and more throughout their passenger season.

ARP
The mission of the Association of Railroad Passengers (ARP) is to work for a modern, customer-focused national passenger train network that provides a travel choice Americans want.

VTEN
The Vermont Transportation Efficiency Network (VTEN) is a group of advocates, planners, and providers working together to reduce negative impacts and improve efficiency in Vermont’s transportation sector.

Go!Vermont
Go!Vermont is a resource for Vermonters who want to reduce the cost and environmental impact of driving. They provide free carpool & vanpool matching services, info on regional bus routes, as well as free resources to promote more efficient travel options for your commute, including an online trip planning tool.
